Breathe Easy

mullein, peppermint, tulsi, linden, lemon balm, nettles

alleviate · purify · repair

Respiratory tonic tea. Mullein leaf has long been revered as lung medicine. It cleanses the bronchioles, clears airways, and alleviates chest congestion, or the feeling of “fog” in the lungs. Lemon balm is antispasmodic, so will soothe/reduce pesky, persistent coughs, while mullein works as an expectorant, encouraging a productive cough. (In other words, when you do cough, it will actually expel stagnant mucous from the lungs.) Naturally anti-histamine due to the stinging nettles, so this blend easily and effectively resolves allergy symptoms and histamine flare-ups. The demulcent nature of linden not only balances out the more drying herbs, but also coats and soothes irritated/dry mucous membranes in the throat. Inhale the tea once brewed—the volatile oils in peppermint, tulsi, and lemon balm can loosen a stuffy nose. This combination of herbs is also likely to settle an upset stomach—a common effect of repeatedly swallowing excess mucous when experiencing “drippy” sinuses. And as is congruent with all of our other “Core Blends”, this tea is also rich in vitamins and minerals. After a couple days brewing this tea, you will surely Breathe Easy.
